PRACTICE SUPPORT SCHEME (MEDIATION)
ASSISTANT MEDIATOR SCHEME

The Standing Committee on Member Services and the Mediation Committee are pleased to announce that the Law Society is jointly offering an Assistant Mediator Scheme (AMS) with the Catholic Marriage Advisory Council (CMAC).

The AMS allows the Law Society Accredited General Mediators to take part in live family mediation cases as an Assistant Mediator and receive feedback from the Lead Mediator regarding their performances. Law Society Accredited Family Mediators may serve as a Co-Mediator instead of an Assistant Mediator. It is an excellent opportunity for new mediators to observe and gain practical experience.

All Law Society Accredited Mediators are eligible to register for AMS. Priority will be given to members accredited for two years or less. Cases will be assigned at the discretion of CMAC. For each case assigned under AMS, the CMAC will charge the Assistant Mediator / Co-Mediator a fee of HK$3000 for administration and feedback from the lead mediator.

Members interested may now complete the Reply Slip and return to the Mediation Coordinator by fax at 2845 0387 or email at mediation@hklawsoc.org.hk.
