Risk Management is increasingly recognised to be a critical leadership skill and a key element in practice management. However, few people in legal practitioner roles have specific training in these skills.
The Mandatory Risk Management Education Programme looks at addressing this disparity.
The RME Programme will extend your understanding of risk management in a law firm environment and provide you with the necessary tools and techniques to apply aspects of best practice to your firm.
Risk management protects and adds value to legal practices by:
- Minimising and managing the risk of a firm's exposure to claims and reducing the extent of loss which may arise from such claims
- Protecting and enhancing your reputation and that of your practice
- Providing you and your practice with a framework that enables your future client activity to take place in a consistent and controlled manner
- Providing a structured understanding of client activity, volatility and opportunities. This then allows improved decision making, planning and work prioritisation
- Allowing more efficient allocation of your practices resources – time, personnel and capital
- Optimising the efficient operation of your firm.
