Suggested Mediation Clauses

1. "Any dispute or difference arising out of or in connection with this contract shall first be referred to mediation by a Mediator from the Law Society's Panel of Mediators and in accordance with the Law Society's Mediation Rules."

2. "If a dispute or difference arises under or in connection with or arising out of this agreement, either party may refer that dispute or difference to mediation. The parties will agree upon the selection of the mediator, but failing agreement the President of the Law Society of Hong Kong will appoint the mediator. The mediation will be conducted in accordance with the Law Society's Mediation Rules."

3. "If the mediation is terminated (as defined in the Law Society's Mediation Rules) without the dispute or difference having been resolved, then, within 21 days after such termination, either party may refer the dispute or difference to the decision of a single arbitrator to be appointed by the President of the Law Society, such arbitration to take place in Hong Kong and be considered as a domestic arbitration subject to the Domestic Arbitration rules of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre."
